Position Overview

The Catering Sales Manager oversees the catering sales efforts by means of initiation and development of quality leads to ensure growth of wedding sales. Responsible for enquiries and site inspections, the incumbent ensures wedding couples are provided with care, attention, support and assistance throughout their experience so as to materialize their dream wedding.

The Role

  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business by regular sales calls, telemarketing, mailing, networking and entertainment
  • Sell, book, plan and coordinate all events while assuring highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Liaise with all stakeholders involved in the set up, food, AV, decoration, etc
  • Attend to food tasting session and follow up with guests on their preference and feedback, and update Culinary team accordingly
  • Prepare BEO accurately and ensure it is distributed to all relevant department
  • Welcome couples, planners or organisers before the start of their event and introduce them to Banquet Team
  • Maintain close working relationship with internal teams and vendors
  • Ensure all deposits are collected for every event
  • Assist guests with credit facility where applicable
  • Responsible for all outstanding payment, post event feedback and accuracy of the event
  • Participate and contribute to the yearly marketing plan

Talent Profile

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or a college education
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Catering Sales for an upscale hotel
  • Knowledge in Opera Sales & Marketing
  • Basic knowledge of AV equipment
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office; Words, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu and food presentation
